Listen when God is Talking

God talks to you every day. Wouldn’t it be nice if God woke you up in the morning or stopped you in a parking lot or even made a bush burn right before your eyes? We rational humans love to have things concrete and touchable. Of course sometimes things aren’t what they seem. Have you ever been approached by someone that was friendly and later found out that they were not really as friendly or honest or sincere as they seemed? It might be confusing if God manifested as a visible sign or person. God, your higher self, the infinite intelligence, Jesus, Mohammed, however you think of the divine, is with you and talks to you every day. God doesn’t use words. We’ve never been stopped on the street or seen a burning bush. Each of us senses the presence of God through a knowing - as if by instinct, without conscious reasoning. That is the definition of intuition. God talks to you through your intuition and inner thoughts and feelings. To hear God, you tune into the thoughts that you have that seem to come “out of the blue” and are relevant. We’re not saying that every intuition you have is from God.  Some of them are. Some are from the dark side. Not one of us is perfect. Listening is a skill. As a skill, you can develop your expertise at that skill. You can practice and get better at hearing God. Listen to your intuition.

Try This:

Give your intuition a second thought. Catch it, the voice inside your head. Then don’t automatically discount it. What would happen? Why is it dumb? Better yet don’t analyze - just do it - especially if it feels right in your heart.
