You have the power
How do you foster your belief in yourself? Love yourself? Treat yourself as well as you treat others? Talk to yourself as gently as you would a friend? Recognize small steps on your life journey? Count all your
successes, however small they might seem? You have the power and the right to choose. Choose how you will think, talk, and act on your journey of life. Your life is no more or less valuable than anyone else’s life.
The power that you have to be human and enjoy your life is exactly the same power that each of us has. No one can make you feel a certain way. No one can force you to have emotion or believe a certain way. It’s your
life and you get to live it however you choose. Now you may think, “Henry is a millionaire. He can have anything he wants.” Have you known rich people that weren’t happy? “It’s easier to pass a camel through the eye
of a needle than for a rich person to enter heaven”(Matthew 10:25). Perhaps this refers to heaven on earth. Perhaps having a lot of money makes it harder to be happy. Have you known people that weren’t rich and
seemed to be unusually content or happy? We all have our challenges in this life. Rich, poor, fat, thin, fast, slow, each of us is living the life that is right for us to learn the lessons God wants us to learn.
Each of us has the same human spirit to make the most out of this life. Whether you are a bishop or a plumber, you have the same power, strength, and ability to use God in your life.
Believe in the value of your life
What does this mean? It's about knowing deep down inside that you can do anything you choose. You are a thinking, feeling, responsive, alive person. You are a part of God's plan, that’s why you’re here. Believe in
the value of your life! It is a gift from God to you. Use it. You are making a difference in people's lives; family, friends, coworkers. They wouldn’t be who they are if it weren't for you.
Try this:
Develop yourself. Use the ideas and exercises in this book, and wherever else you find them. You are part of the universe. In you runs the force of the universe. You have the power of God, the infinite intelligence,
at your beck and call. Learn how to use infinite power to realize your human goals and ambitions. Be successful in your life.
